Turning to face her left, Maggie began a jog down the beach. As she got about twenty yards, she broke into a sprint. After that short burst of speed, she slowed to a stop and turned to face the way she had come. And began a run back towards the spot where she left her backpack. Sprinting passed, Maggie ran thirty yards the other way. And like the previous sprint, turned and ran back to stop next to her stuff. Walking in a circle, she relaxed her breathing. Hands on hips, Maggie stood next to her backpack and stared out at the water again. Bending to pick up the pack, she produced a bottle of water which she took a few sips. Closing the cap, she placed the bottle back into the pack and sat down. Digging her feet into the sand, Maggie wrapped her arms around her legs as she brought her knees slightly upwards to her chest. Resting her chin upon her knees, the blond wished she could have wings like those birds. Wings so she could fly away somewhere, anywhere beautiful.
