Basics
Name: Adrinoa Rae Green
Gender: female
Age: 17
Birthday: October 31st
Place of Birth: Seattle, Washington
Family Situation: divorced parents, younger brother (Shane)
Living Situation: lives with mom & brother
Personality: [Friendly] Noa is naturally really friendly. She tends to like everyone when she first meets them, though her impression of a person can change over time. A rarity in high school she has always had friends in every social group but has no true "group" of her own.
[Open-Minded] Moving from the comfort of the area she grew up in, to the city of Phoenix has been both good and bad for Adrinoa. Coming from a culturally diverse part of the nation she is pretty open minded and interested in new experiences and people. At times she plays devil's advocate a bit too much, taking the side less in the majority just for the sake of arguing.
[Stubborn] With parents like hers it's no wonder Adrinoa grew up stubborn. Her mom and dad fought every day of her young life, neither ever really giving way in an argument and she learned from the pros. When she gets her heart set on something she doesn't back down easily.
[Quiet] Though she puts up a pretty good front when she has to, Adrinoa is actually really shy. Once she gets comfortable with someone she is the exact opposite, being quite out-going and sociable. It takes a lot to get her comfortable and talking but once you do it's hard to get her to stop.
[Impatient] One of her greatest challenges in life is the fact that Adrinoa is someone who needs instant gratification. Having to wait for things drives her nuts and her impatience can lead to resentment and grumpiness.
[Spacey] While no air-head academically speaking, Noa has always had a tendency to drift off into her own little world. She has a vivid imagination and it often takes her mind away from the here-and-now if she's bored. Because of this space-case habit she is often seen as being less intelligent than she really is.
[Obsessive] Once she gets into something, Adrinoa takes it to a whole new level. She gets totally obsessive and will go on tangents of whatever her new interest is. The funny thing is very few things take root and stick around for long, many obsessions die fast and she moves onto something new.
[Good Listener] With her shyness and friendliness, Noa has become a really good listener. She has been through a lot more in her life than she has told people about and has a very empathetic heart. If she can help someone out just by listening she feels she has done something good.
[Rebellious] At best Adrinoa's relationship with her mother is rocky. Having pretty much cared for herself and her younger brother for the past five years Adrinoa has a lot of resentment against her mom. She intentionally goes out of her way to do things that will piss her mom off. The emotional neglect has worn her down to the point she doesn't even get along well with her brother most of the time because he doesn't see a reason to do what she says since she isn't their mom.
Hobbies: Adrinoa is an artist and musician at heart. She plays in an unnamed garage band with her cousins and brother. While not the most talented guitarist she has an excellent voice and when she isn't singing she often hums her favorite songs. Noa also spends a lot of time writing poetry and lyrics or simply sketching in a beat-up leather-bound notebook that is always with her. If there is an art form she has likely tried it. Not a big fan of school athletics Adrinoa is more content to go hiking, take walks on the beach or play street hockey with the kids in her neighborhood, but she still attends the occasional game. She reads a lot of books too. Her interests tend to lean toward the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genres but she is always up for a book suggestion.
Job: Because of her family situation, Adrinoa has to work to pay for her car and clothes. She works Sundays at a local Wiccan coffee shop called simply Strange Brew, and occasionally fills in an evening shift as well.

General Appearance: At school Adrinoa is not known much for following the latest trends. She's one of those girls who dresses more for the sake of comfort than style. Most often she'll be spotted in well-worn and holey blue jeans paired with fitted tee shirts and a zip-up hoodie. Yet if she's feeling in the mood for something a little nicer she's a fan of more bohemian, goth and vintage clothing styles. Noa doesn't wear much jewelry, just her silver hoops and the occasional necklace.

Extra Curriculars: School related activities aren't Noa's bag but she is a member of the art club and helps out with the stage craft crews when she can.
History
Background: Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Adrinoa was that little mistake her parents made in college. Lucky for Noa, her parents got married and mom stayed in medical school. While her dad took his business degree into car sales, eventually taking over general management of a Honda dealship, her mom worked hard to finish her degree. Noa's younger brother Shane came along almost three years after Noa and the two grew up pretty happily not realizing what all the fights between their parents meant. From Adrinoa's earliest memories her parents have fought. Her mom, Debbie, had a drinking problem that almost blew her final year in medical school. In the mean time her dad had started an affair with another woman.
When Adrinoa was twelve the marriage finally dissolved. For a while she thought the divorce was her fault as many kids do in that situation. That's when the music thing started. She needed something to vent into and she began spending hours in her room listening to music and pouring her emotions into her journal. Eventually they became lyrics and she got lessons to learn guitar. She's never gotten good with the guitar but she can sing quite well.
The summer before Adrinoa started high school her mother took a job in her hometown of Phoenix and uprooted them from the only home they'd really known. Shane, Adrinoa's little brother, wanted to stay with their dad but their mother wouldn't have it. They only get to see their dad once every few weeks when he flies down to visit them or they fly up to see him. Phoenix hasn't been great for their relationship either. Shane has been miserable in Phoenix, while Adrinoa has actually been pretty happy. Even though she misses Seattle, Adrinoa is pretty adapable and has gotten comfortable in Phoenix.
The past three years at school have gone well. She's an average student pushing to be better but she struggles with mathematics. With senior year about to start she's stoked about her final year before going off to do something more with her life. Adrinoa's been saving up money so she can take the a year off to work on her portfolio before she heads back to Seattle to attend art school. Now if only she could stop fighting with her mom and figure out what's wrong with her brother.

Karma. It was a strange thing. Adrinoa had always believed in karma. Her Buddhist grandmother had preached it to her all of her life. Somehow fate had stepped in at the right... or was it wrong? moment and brought a handful of lives together.
Travis had hurt Adrinoa, who had found Cade, who had helped Shane, who had started talking to Adrinoa again. Everything was moving in one very fvcked up circle.
It was almost ten o'clock. Adrinoa was sitting on her kitchen counter eating chinese noodles with chopsticks. She had the White Stripes playing so loud it took her four rings to hear the phone and four more to answer it. The last voice she expected to hear was on the other line letting her know Travis had been in a motorcycle accident. When she got off the phone with Stoags she heaved a sigh.
Grabbing her keys and her jacket she ran out to her car. She didn't know where Cade had gone or she would have tried to find him and tell him. She hoped someone had let him know. Stopping at the grocery store a block from the hospital she hurried inside and found a tacky Get-Well balloon.
She felt awful that the last time she had seen Travis, they had been fighting. She still hated the smell of hospitals, even though her mom was an OB. It seemed like hospitals were a constant part of her life now between her mom and her brother.
Stopping at the nurses station she clutched the balloon. "Hi, I'm looking for Travis, McQua..."
"It's too late for visitors honey." The nurse said, giving her an 'I'm in charge, don't mess with me' glare.
Adrinoa put her hand on her hip. "Look- HONEY- I didn't come up here for the hell of it. My mother happens to be a doctor in this facility and if I have to get her down here just to look up Travis McQuain's room number she is going to be really pissed off." She paused and gave the nurse a look that said- 'do not fvck with me'.
"Now are you going to give me that room number or am I going to call my mother?"
She knocked on the door softly. Twisting the balloon ribbon around her finger as she waited for an answer from inside she couldn't help but feel a boost of confidence at having taken on that nasty nurse.

A triumphant smile marked Adrinoa's face as she exited the elevator and marched down the hall. Stopping at the door to Travis' room she took a
